Known for its fast growth and easy propagation, Tradescantia zebrina has been passed from home to home for generations. Its historical common name contributed to its widespread popularity, but many growers today prefer the more modern and inclusive name ‘Wandering Dude’. Other familiar names for this plant include Spiderwort and Inch Plant.
This striking Zebrina variety features long trailing vines lined with small, stemless leaves about 2" long. Each leaf displays bold green and purple striping with a metallic silver sheen, while the undersides glow in rich purple or magenta tones. Bright light helps maintain the plant’s vibrant coloration.
